Devon Women playing at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, 2023.

Devon Women's winter programme is set to get underway next month ahead of the 2024 season.

Devon are set to start their most comprehensive women's winter training programme since aligning the Women and Girls' Performance Pathway in March.

David Joseph will continue in his role as Lead Coach and will be overseeing the winter programme with the support of Performance Pathway staff.

Speaking ahead of the winter programme, Pathway Manager, Sandy Allen said:

"When we aligned the Devon Women to our Performance Pathway earlier this year we were keen to create a comprehensive winter plan ahead of the 2024 season, a sentiment we echoed to the players once the season finished.

"We are delighted to have taken an important first step this year as we look to fulfil our ambition to provide a full women's programme in 2025 and the best opportunity for women and girls within Devon to develop, progress and realise their potential."

Players will be invited for open training sessions on December 20 and 21 at the Devon Cricket Centre, University of Exeter, from which the 2024 squad will be selected.

Players looking to be involved in the County side are invited to complete our Expression of Interest Form by midnight on November 30. Any queries should be directed to info@devoncricket.co.uk.

Winter training for the 2024 season will begin on January 5 on a fortnightly basis at the Devon Cricket Centre ahead of the Women's Twenty20 Cup.

In addition to the Twenty20 Cup competition, a schedule of 50 Over matches will be arranged for later in the summer. Further details will follow.
