NORTH Devon defeated Heathcoat by 17 runs in the North Devon League match of the day.

North Devon scored 241 for loss of six wickets in their 40 overs. There were runs all through the card, led by Ben Howe 77 and Narindu Vanderbona 61. Robbie Broomhead was the pick of the nine Heathcoat bowlers used with figures of four for 29. 

Heathcoat were seemingly cruising to victory at 194 for four, with eight overs remaining. Finn Stoneman leading the way with 60. Enter teenage spinner Oscar Meech, who turned the game on its head by taking six for 17 in 26 deliveries. to wrap-up, the game with 10 balls to go

Bideford batted first at Westleigh where they racked-up a score of 273 for nine, led by James Hayter (109) and Ewan Williams (66). None of the seven bowlers used by Westleigh took more than two wickets. 

Westleigh's reply was led by Richard Wild (47) and Will Speed (45). Ultimately, they were all out for 229 and lost by 44 runs. 

Hayter capped a fine, all-round performance by taking two for 35. Elliot Curry chipped in with three for 61.

Filleigh travelled to Nomansland with 10 men, and duly came off second best by 141 runs in a Division Two encounter.

Nomansland were bowled out for 218 with runs from Ed Carter (88) and Ed Broggio (58). Louis Roberts (3-31) and Kevin Toze (3-49), led the attack for Filleigh. 

Toze opened Filleigh’s reply, and was unbeaten on 28 at the end, as the rest of his team succumbed to veteran seamer Les Rendall (5-12). Broggio, and Jacob Cole, both chipped in with a couple of wickets as the visitors were dismissed for 77. 

Lynton defeated Victoria Park by 53 runs on the Westward Ho! ground.

Lynton amassed 214 for six thanks to Dan Godfrey (96) and Kofi Atkinson (88no). Steve Oliver's four for 16, was the pick of the Park bowling. 

Atkinson then starred with the ball with four for 26 to help bowl out the home side for 161. Will Anderson top scored with 55 for the Park

Newton Tracey defeated Barnstaple & Pilton by 11 runs in a low-scoring affair on the Lawn.

Newton were hustled out for 139 in 22 of their 36 overs. The Chugg boys – Ruben (3-29) and Dominic (3-47) did the damage with the ball. Dominic Robson (41), top scored for the hosts. 

Tight bowling by all the Newton bowlers saw the home side prevail as Barnstaple & Pilton limped to 128 for six.

The Kelseymen from Braunton won at Exford by six wickets with just three balls remaining in a Blights Motors League Cup clash.

Thanks to Jonah Hopkins (89) and Paul Jones (63), Exford scored 225 for seven. Martin Biddle took three for 46. 

Sam Reddick led Kelseymen on the chase with 101. He was supported by Kim Evers and Andrew Norman.
