BELSTONE emerged as 43-run winners from a high-scoring NDL Division One engagement with Hatherleigh at Rew Meadow.

Belstone were all out for 316 with Tallan Burns scoring 101 before retiring. There was support from Richard Drake (73) and Vivek Gautam (55).

The Presswell twins – Charlie and Jasper – and Niall Leahy all took three wickets for Hatherleigh. 

The same three players led Hatherleigh’s chase. Leahy scored 103, Jasper Presswell scored 96 and Charlie Presswell chipped-in with 24.  Hatherleigh innings closed at 273 for five. Callum Mallet took a couple of wickets for The Foxes.

Heathcoat defeated Bideford by three wickets at Knightshayes in another high-scoring affair

Bideford amassed 260 for six in their 40 overs. Jack Ford opened with 110 and got help from dad James (36) and Alex Hannam (70). There were two wickets each for Shaheen Ali and Freddie Bucknell.

Heathcoat reached their target with eight balls left. Will Bucknell top scored with 78 and Harry Pryce made 57. Skipper Guy Bucknell (32) was there at the end of a true family affair.

Westleigh won a close encounter with Newton Tracey at the Lawn. James Starkey led the way for Westleigh with an unbeaten 106. No other batter got more than 20, although there was a half-century (52) for extras in the visitors’ 243 for eight.

Newton Tracey were all out for 230 and lost by 13 runs. Starkey made a decent claim for man of the match by taking four for 36. Kieran Soper led the chase with 95, and there was support from Rob and Simon Gear.

Victoria Park defeated visiting Ilfracombe by 61 runs in a Division One game.

The Park racked up 223 for nine in their 40 overs. Blake Shapland top scored with 102. Nathan Townsend (3-43) was Combe’s leading wicket taker with 3 for 43. 

Combe couldn't cope with the bowling of Ian Brown (4-7) or Harry Rainford (4-41). John Bates 52 was the only batter to trouble the home side in their all-out total of 161.

Newton Tracey put out a second team for a Division Three game at Braunton, where they cruised to an eight-wicket win.

Charlie Tucker top scored with 55 and Ballie Braund chipped in with 47 as Braunton scored 230 for five.

Newton knocked off the runs with 13 overs in hand. All Newton’s batters got runs. Tyler Jowitt top scored with 92.

Holders Filleigh are out of the Blights Motors League Cup following an emphatic 116-run reversal at Holsworthy.

Holsworthy amassed 230 for six in spite of Filleigh’s Matthew Boundy taking four for 20. Herschelle Poggenpoel was unbeaten on 114.

Filleigh's reply never got going and they were all out for 114 in 25 overs.
